Did the original gas cap on the 1929 have a bowtie? or was it plain?
The Filling Station has one with a bowtie (RW-275), would this one be considered an exact replacement?

Thanks.

The cap shown in the illustration as RW-275 is the correct gas cap for 1929-1930 and it does not have a Chevrolet bow tie. Rather, it has a raised vented dome and that is what you are mistaking for the bow tie.

JYD,

Just can't see picture details anymore without my reading glasses on.

Thanks for the clarification and the reply.

The Filling Station has been backordered on this gas cap since last May. Any idea on another place to order it from? Is I&I Reproductions worth checking out? I have read both good and bad reviews on I&I posted previously, need all your opinions please.

Thanks.

the parts i've gotten from I&I for our 31 cabriolet and 29 convert. landau have been less than satisfactory for the most part. Filling station pieces are just the opposite. mike

Thanks Mike for the reply.

Do you know of any other place I can order a new original/reproduction cap?

Pushrod......a $400 gas cap? Or, are you talking about a radiator cap instead? waynej1929 is looking for an aluminum gas cap.

Doug Zeno,

Purchased an ORIGINAL cap in great shape from Gary Wallace today, also received his catalog, he has a lot items and is great to deal with.

Thanks for the contact.
