Your '30 Coupe should have '19" wheels. Only Chevrolet passenger to use 20" wheels was the '29 International models. Of course many years of trucks used 20" wheels and rims.

Finding a 19 inch disc wheel in good condition is going to take a bit of looking too. :( :( :(

thanks all, don rossi in colorado sent me a 20" disc rim in nice condition and primed! $40 plus post. yes, this new kid (me) has learned the original issue for the '30 was 19" rims, somewhere along the way..... well, the 20s are mine and fine. thank you chevy b for the reply. as always, there is always something else. my most pressing need (god i hate the notion) now is the torque tube/rear end assembly, but not the mechanicals inside. my torque tube is bent and puts the drive shaft/ pinion coupling in an ugly bind. i have chewed through 4 ( yes, i swear) sleaves, splines etc. long story. last thing to replace. what think you all? dblclh

If not too badly bent you can straighten. Put a straight edge on tube in 3 or 4 locations about equal distant apart. That will permit you to locate the bend or center of the bend. Mark it. Most bends I have found are just above the pinion connector and in line with the rear axle. If that is the case warm the tube at the bend (it can also be cold bent if you have heavy duty enough equipment) and pull or push carefully until it is a little past straight. Remove pressure and check again. If not in line with axle then it will be necessary to make a brace or use a strong beam to pull or push against. An auto body repair facility with frame straightening equipment should be able to do it too. That is if you can get them to do it.

I've done it twice and it was not too tough. Used a comealong the first time which was a little tricky but a hydraulic body jack the second which was much easier.

I just read this and I am now confused (as usual).
Does a 1929 Chevy Imperial Landau (IL) need 20" wheels (Is the IL an international model). Mine has 19" disks.

20 inch wells are for 1929 and 19 inch wheels are for 1930 and 1931.

All 1929 models were of the International series.

Well, another addition to the parts list. Any suggestion for a source?
