OP JIM G Shade Tree Mechanic Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 55 Texas, USA	Could someone tell how get the top of the gas gauge off. I'm not sure if this was pressed on or screwed on. I know that this is a mechanical gauge that operates with a cork float. I want to clean up the fuel level indicator and glass before the final paint goes on. When you finish cleaning up be sure to put some "never-seize" on the threads for the next removal.
