I just received a complete upholstery kit for my 32 5 window coupe. Are there any hints or problems I should be aware of before I get into trouble?

I would also be interested in the process. My 32 coupe is about ready for the kit. Will you be starting with the headliner?

RGwiz,
According to the instructions the headliner is the place to start. It took about three months to get the kit from Hampton Coach. After I got over the fright from looking at all those pieces the kit looks good. I'll just do it one piece at a time. I know some guys have made ther own but I don't think I'm up to that, I don't even sew.

I installed a kit in my '34 4 door about 20 years ago.Their directions were most helpful and there were no problems.Be sure to pad under the seat cushion covers so they appear full.A few nails can be used for trial-if every thing looks good continue, if not remove nails and re-adjust material.Correct placement of the door trim panel is a must because it needs to contact the body wind lace to look good and for a good seal.Don't pull headling too tight when nailing to roof bows as it will pull the material....you will be surprised as to how easy it is

Hey, this is neat - I'm just about ready to do the interior on my 32 5W coupe. I'll be interested in hearing how you're making out. Perhaps I should put my order into Hampton Coach now to have it get here in time as a winter project. wink

Wow! With all the 32 Coupe orders, do ya think Hampton can cut us a break?
How 'bout it Ed, maybe we can get the two-fer discount!

I agree! Of course, the response could be "well, we make 'em one at a time anyway, so what's the difference to us?"
