Hi:

I guess we should complain here if a vendor gives us bad parts or service. We should also compliment the good ones.

I feel that Gary Wallace has earned the respect of this web site and it's members, and I can honestly say... me too!

I ordered a number of parts from him last week and forgot to include my credit card number.... details-details. Anyway, he called me and I'm almost positive it was late Friday when I finally got back to him with the information. I had the parts with no special arrangements, Monday about noon! I had hopes of receiving the parts within 10 days and would have been pleased with that.. but I had them Monday.

A. I got all my parts.
B. I got them quickly.
C. He even gave me the information about another vendor that sells a retro fit throwout bearing for my truck.

Gary's good. He may not be perfect but he seems like a straight shooter and that's a big deal in my book. Keep my Credit Card Info Gary.... I'll be in touch for more you can be sure.

Don

I agree. I am in South Africa, but visit the States occasionally on business staying at a hotel for 3 or 4 days at a time. I have ordered parts from Gary a number of times via e-mail, but of course the parts have to be delivered to my hotel during my stay. What more can I say, than I have received them every time.

I will add to having pleasure when dealing with Gary, He has "The right stuff" and is eager to help a fellow VCCA member,
He is also a loyal touring member and he has a good set of friends that also attend our tours, I have been on several SST tours with him, He always brings a good supply of Vintage Chevrolet Parts for the Mini-Swap meet afternoon.

I call him on the phone when I need something for the 28, and he get's it on the way.

I have nothing but good things to say about Gary. Not only is he quick when sending parts he always backs them up. If I'm having a problem he tries his best to help me with it.

One time a few years ago he suggested I not buy a part from him, an original coil, because I intended to use the car for a driver and apparently original coils don't like going for extended drives. Put another way, he beat himself out of a sale but in so doing gained my loyalty. He gets probably 99% of my business and I never hesitate to recommend him to others.

I just want to throw my two cents in here as well.
I've had very good luck with both Gary and the Filling station.
I can't imagine where the hobby would be if we had to rely on reproduction parts (not single damn one on my 28 thank you). Anyway, kudos to Gary and those like him.

Gary is highly appreciated here in Norway, and a top supplier. I have traded for years for myself and for a lot of the CCONs members and never been let down.

Yes, he is a jolly good fellow!!!!! APPROVED!!!!

Don,
Can you let me know about Gary Wallces' web site or how to get in touch with him. I just bought a 1928 Chevrolet that I plan to restore.
