Where would a guy go to have trim pieces dyed the correct color. Someone told me that the plastic(vinyl) interior trim came in black then was dyed the correct color. Where would i go to have this done. An uhpolstery shop?

A few years ago Dupont sold vinyl dye by the pint.My local jobber matched the interior color code from my 80 monte carlo and mixed a perfect match for my dash cover.it sprays like lacquer paint, and lasts like OE parts.

Just remember to use the special plastic primer prior to painting any interior components... otherwise, the paint will not adhere properly.

If a shop is doing this work - they should be aware of this added step....
