Hi guys

Can any one help me. I am having my crank shaft ground. On the clutch end there is a pointed peg which is in line with the centre of the shaft. Does any one know to what purpose this serves. This will have to be cut off to be ground.

Is it a pilot for the transmission main shaft??

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest. 36 high cabs are OK too.

Hi Paul
My best guess is that it improves the lubrication of the roller bearing (cup and cone) for the Clutch spring tension rod. I guess your truck has a cone clutch? If not, I have no idea. But I'm only a novice too.
