What is the latest on wrinkle paint? It has been unavailable for awhile. Has anyone started makeing it again? Brown would be the color I need.

The only brown wrinkle paint, I know of, is from Jim Carter's. Maybe the Filling Station has it too. It is not easy to work with and requires a drying oven. I just bought the black wrinkle paint in rattle cans from Napa and then painted it the correct brown color when the black was dry. Worked great for me, was a lot easier and I got more consistant results.

I bought my wrinkle paint at an Ace Hardware store. I used it to paint the hot water heater on my 31 coupe. I did not use an oven, just let it dry and it came out great. That was black that I used. The trick with the black and then the color you need sounds pretty clever. Good luck finding it in your area.

After purchasing black wrinkle paint and just letting it air dry, 4 coats turned out really nice then painted it with the gray for my gauge panel.
I have seen brown wrinkle paint at the auto parts store, Auto Zone, if you have them in your area.
