I recently dismantled my tie rod ends.I had noticed a bit of wear on the shaft openings and found that "everything" is somewhat worn. This does not come as a surprise as I have used the car regularly for the past sixteen years without lubricating them and imagine that it has not been done for years,if ever. They have no grease fittings. I have a spare "38" front end and notice that it appears similar though it does have grease nipples. QUESTION!!!! "Can I use tie rod ends, balls, cups etc from a later model on a "28"? Terry

I would do a experimental assembly to check sizes and fit. If it fits, do the job for keeps.

Terry.
The Filling Station sells replacement balls, you will have to measurethe length and diameter to get a match, they are piened over to hold them into the steering arm arent they? same as on 31-32.
You could also tap and thread the back of your 28 fittings to allow pressure greasing fittings to be fitted Regards jack
