Does anyone know who makes a wood kit for the seat, top or rumble seat.I contacted several makers and they did not carry 1927 Cabriolet kits, nor did they have a pattern. Pirkey

I read some of your questions and discussion on AACA. In the book Chevrolet Chronicle page 41 it says: The sports cabriolet was a closed car, not a convertible (as the roof was firm). It was also the first lowpriced car of any make to be furnished with a rumble seat.
If you haven't joined VVCA yet, I hope you would do so. You will be getting more complete replies in this club than elsewhere, and it seems you will need a lot of help to finish the project.

I agree with everthing you said and I have sent my dues in as of a week ago. I do need help and have gotten the best, the quickest and most polite information from VCCA members, who I again wish to thank for their generosity and help. Pirkey

I am still looking for a wood supplier. I ran off the article in HEMMINGS that had 3 pages of suppliers and none had any wood for the 27 Cabriolet. It is a rare car evidently. I am contacting the TA for help. I think he has a 27 Cabriolet.

The TA does not have a '27 Cabriolet but two other San Jacinto Region members do. One is the current Director. It is a really nice driver that I have seen many times. The other is unrestored. Have never seen it.

You may try to get some help here: Stredet Automobilverksted. Have a look at the restoration here: http://www.mamut.net/sav/subdet22.htm :vcca:
