Did the 34 1/2 ton trucks come with shocks? Mine doesn't have any but that doesn't mean they weren't removed. I know the box sides have depressed areas for clearance. If they had shocks, were they specific to the trucks?

The 1/2 ton shocks were optional extra charge. The optional Special Chassis the single action shocks came with the package. You could also get double action shocks as an option; they were mostly used on the 1.5 tons. The single action fit 34-36 1/2 tons;RF p/n 1054581, LF 1054580, RR 1054422 & LR 1054423. They use a link and pins and special bracket attached to spring/axle "U" bolts. I have a set of all the brackets if you need I can make prints for you.

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest. 36 high cabs are OK too.

Thanks, I can always count on you for good, solid answers. Do you ever come east to the Hershey show?

Haven't been there for at least 15 years. I would spend to much if I did go; I have a girl in college in Maine and that is costing me a new car every year!
