I need to find a 1916 Chevrolet 490 Fan Belt for the car I am restoring. Can anybody help me locate one? I would very much appreciate it.

Hey Vrodgers Dave Wiltsey thinks that he can help you with this belt. Call him at 518-371-5536. John

Does Dave have an email adress?
Be aware the 1916 (and 17) is a flat one, not V-type. I can give you the measurements tomorrow.

I'm not sure if Dave has an e-mail address. I am at his business usually once a week. I will find out. He did comment on the differences in the belts. John

Hey Vrodgers Sorry that it took so long to get back to you! Did you find your belt? Dave Wiltsey thought that He can help you if you are looking for the "flat" belt for the earlier cars. E-mail him at daawilts@AOL.com. Not how often he looks at his mail though. John M

Finally I have checked the size of my 1916 (and 1917) fan belts, flat type. Width 9/16", and length 28 1/2". I also have a used one of leather, but somewhat longer, and most probably streched in use.
Hope you can get the right type and size somewhere. May be Gary Wallace can deliver it?
