How does one tell the difference in all of the door sills for 49 thru 52? I have an odd set, both nice , but wouldn't fit my styleline, too short, finally sold them to someone who thought they would fit their coupe, still too short, and I believe they are too long for the 4 door, are the sills on a panel or delivery different. ? Anyone have any advice. thanks

There were three sill plates for the the front door of a 1949-52.
All 2 door were the same length. This would be the Fleetline an Styline 2 door, including the coupe.
The four doors are all the same plus the four door also fits the sedan delivery.
The Bel Air and convertible are the same and are the same length as a two door but are wider.
The low priced Special series came from the factor with steel sill plates painted gray.
All the eplacements were the aluminum as used in the DeLuxe.
You could possibly have sill plates from another GM car.
