Hi to another Chevrolet owner,

First, tell us what you did to the drive train that would require an up-grade in the stopping department? A good original stopping system is adequate for the power and performance of your car. If you put in a dual master cylinder, the next thing that happens, is that you will be back here wanting to know how to increase the horses.

(Your car, and you can do anything you wish).

well heres whats going on id like to get a small block v8 in it so obviously the original machnical brakes are not going to work for me so i got intouch with a company that sells a hydrolic brake conversion that mounts to the original SPINDLES but the kit dosent come with a master cylinder.

I kinda got that drift from your first post. Let's be honest, this site is not intended for rodding, power updates, or muscle car construction. We lean heavily on the "restoration to original" concept. You are more that welcome to converse with us on this site, but you would be much more at home if you also included one of the other sites that lean more to the modifications.

Wish you luck with your project and just hope it is not a very nice original car drug out of a dark barn that you are working on.

If your going to a V-8. You might as well go with a fire wall mounted master cylinder.

If you have you heart on hot rodding then a pedal assy for a model A will work. They make them for power or manual brake..

Would be nice if we could put the 1930questions in the right thread. But even if we often have some valuable help from rodders selling off the original parts to car nuts with original cars in mind, and someone here try to help in some way, there should be possible to get more precize information in other web forums. Search for rodder web sites and you will be helped soon.

I'm new to this site, but I just finished putting a booster brake on my 1930 chevy 4 door. I just read your post and one of the reply's. I guess this site is more for original restos? anyway, just thought I'd reply to you that while it is doable, If I had it to do over again I'd go with a firewall mount. Just my .02 cents. Good luck
Denny
