To turn the engine again, make a mixture of half white spirit and half two-stroke outboard oil and pour it through the spark plug holes into the cylinder rooms approx. 2 cm above the piston tops. (Or remove the head and pour from above, if the engine is not turning after a month.) Use the crank handle to turn the engine some minutes each fortnight until it is loose and turning. Refill mixture when needed. Do not remove the engine from the frame before the engine turns again.

Start using CRC 5-56 or similar on all bolts, screws, nuts etc. some times to loosen up and avoid damages when demounting.

You don't mention what type of body is on your truck. Since Chevrolet did not supply the body can you determine who the body builder is; are there any ID plates or body builder names anywhere on your truck? What series truck do your have "M" or "X" as both are considered 1926 models. Could you post a picture of your truck? The "X" series truck could be purchased with a Chevrolet built cab or as a Chassis with just a flat face cowl, hood and radiator shell painted black. Chevrolet also built a Panel body for this model too. All other bodies were from outside suppliers. The "M" truck used the 1925 "K" engine and the "X" used the 1926 "V" engine. Is your generator gear or belt driven?? K.C. Wood or Jim Rodman might be able to help with new wood.

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest. 36 high cabs are OK too.

If you just have a cab & no body; I can send you some pictures of some of the bodies that were built for those trucks.
