I have a 1939 Master 4-door with a front seat bench, no split. I have planned to install seat belts (lap belts) in the front seat. On the sides of the bench it is no problem, but I think it will be a problem in the middle. There are no open holes between the bench cushion and the floor, but there is a wooden board which will make conflict with the belt.
I do not want to make damages on the cushion and especially not the wooden board.
Does anybody have an idea on how I shall put the belt through the seat and down to the floor?

Seat belts are already installed in the rear seat, it was no problem. But it is strange to have a car with seat belts in the rear seat only.

I have a '37 Master Deluxe 4-Door and I too plan to install front belts. However, I am going to install three point belts (with a sholder belt). My front seat has the steel back and bottom enclosure which holds the seat bottom and seat back. I don't really see any easy to install the section of the belt that goes through the seat except to cut a slot through the steel and trim it with something that will prevent damage to the belt. As I am the only driver of this car, I keep the seat in the rearmost position. I will just set it up for me and hope for the best.

What I did to put seat belts in my 1937 Chevy is remove the front seat. Tape a strong wire to one end of the new belt and then run the wire between the medal. On my car the medal was two separate
pieces.
Then the drill the holes under the seat. Nothing can be seen from the real seat.

What is the "medal"? I am not familiar with that word regarding seats. Can not imagine what part this can be on my 1939 bench.
Thanks.
