I think that whether you buy a ready made wireing harness or build it yourself depends on several things, how much you want to spend in money or time and money, how well you are at building a new wireing system. A ready made wireing harness is not as cheap as I would like. I think that you have a task ahead of you either way unless you hire it installed. I prefer to buy one ready made. Next question? who makes the best one, then question #2 how about their instructions and procedures, are they all that clear?
I bought one from a vendor that sells YnZ's Yesterdays Parts harnesses. It took me a while to go thru their instructions and the diagrams in the shop manual to understand the mergeing of wireing harness instructions and the wireing diagrams. Rhode Island Wireing Service has been mentioned here as a supplier of ready made harnesses and also as a supplier of authenic vintage wireing products. Both have web sites. There are others, one I remember is "Painless wireing harnesses". I would reccomend that you do a Google search for auto wireing harness. I am sure tghere will be others that respond to your query....good luck with your project! Come back any time.
