What shade of black paint was used on the rims, Jaxon clamps and clamp nuts on the 1929 passengers cars? Was it gloss, semi-gloss,
satin or ? stressed TIA, Bob

Since some of the wheel parts were likely dipped and not sprayed a less than high gloss black would have been used. I am sure that it was not a flat either. Satin or Semi-gloss or something between them and modern high gloss is the correct finish.

Thanks Chipper! A semi-gloss is what I was thinking too. The paint on my rims now is a dark blue probably put on them back in the 50's.

Thanks again okBob
