New Member # 44763. Need some help on green color for above veh. Can anyone tell me the Brand paint and code # ?
Have removed body, cleaned frame and painted. Emgine back in frame and painted. Ned to paint the green wheels. Help.

Hi B71, May I be the first to greet you here on the chat site. I think you will find we are a jolly bunch, however we take our advice and answers seriously. Pull up a chair and sit awhile. As you are a paid member in the VCCA, you can contact the Paint TA#72. Check your G&D for the information on how to contact him. Give him as much information as you can. The correct paint is for a specific body style. Also the date is important. You can find the date of your vehicle by the plate on the side of the seat riser, or from the head or block.

Have tryed to call the paint tech but no contact made to present. My seat tag shows Superior - K and car Number IV 36443. Can you tell date from that ?
Four door sedan with solid quarter windrow. 1926 Engine with possible 28 Head. Doing full chassic rebuild.

Hi, The Superior "K" denotes a 1925 vehicle. However, there are several vehicles out there that say Superior "K" and are actually 1926 models. Your 1V 36443 translates as built at Flint, is a 1926 and the sequence number falls at about late June.

Big help on the Year and place of build. With your knowledge, can you tell me what color green was standard on the 26. This one is green and black with landua. Seens to be questions on the earlier colors

Hi B71, We need to know what body you have on your car. Take a look under the hood and on the firewall as see if you can come up with a number such as: 67XX. We need to know this information as the colors are specified in a Chevrolet Service News for the exact year and body style.

If you're not too far from Chattanooga, TN you might visit Newton Chevrolet in downtown Chattanooga. They have in their showroom a 1926 Landau sedan that was professionally, and beautifully restored from a very well-preserved original survivor.
