Hello everyone:
As the tool tech advisor for 1937-1966, I get alot of requests for the correct tools delivered with our Chevies as they came from the factory. I also occasionally get some requests to identify Kent Moore Tools - those professional Chevrolet shop tools. I have alot of Kent Moore Catalogs, but I cannot find the following numbers.

J 5343 Wrench
It possibly might be part of the J 5341 Tool Set for 1961/1962

J 33997-100 Steering Gear Service Kit
This number is way too new for my parts books.

Anyone out there who might know anything about these 2 Kent Moore Tools? Thanks for checking your Kent Moore Books.

Toolman,
My 1956 vintage K-M catalog lists the J-5343 on page 78 as a "Caster-Camber Adjusting Wrench" for 1955-'56 Oldsmobiles and 1953-'56 Pontiacs.

If you'd like a pic of that page, PM me your email address and I'll be glad to email it to you.

The power steeering repair kit is for overhauling the P/S rack and pinion on J, L and N cars. There probably are hundreds of these around that have never been used. The rack was always replaced with a reconditioned unit.

Thanks for the information related to the Kent Moore Tools. I have forwarded this to the VCCA member who had wanted to know what they were correct for. You guys are great resources.
