Does anyone have any information or schematic on adjusting a Tillotson after market carb for a 29-31 Chevrolet? I'd like to know which jet controls what and recommended starting point or number of turns off seat. Thanks,Howard Dennis

The adjustment on the bottom is the main jet. Start at 1 turn from the seat. The idle adjustment should be 1-1 1/2 turns out. Good luck. It will take some fiddling to get the mixture right as the main jet will affect the idle adjustment. Best to get the main jet set and then fine tune the idle.

Thanks Chipper, That's exactly what I was looking for. Any idea who has parts for this carb? I may need gaskets and/or an accelorator pump. Thanks , Howard

We do have a hand-made basic kit available. However, keep in mind when expecting wonderful performance from this carburetor that it originally was sold to those folks too frugal to purchase a rebuilding kit for the original carb (the Tillotson was less than a kit for the Carter!!!).
