Hello everyone!
Still trying to figure out this new repo bed. Do the center strips not coincide with the bed side angle strips, as far as the holes that are pre punched. So as to ultimatly bolt through the cross sills, mine came punched but not at the same spacing?
Any help would be appriciated.

My bed is original. That doesn't mean it is right, but here's what I have. The side angle strips are set up to sit on the cross sills. The side angle strips have four holes in them. There are four cross sills. The center strips on mine are set up so that with the use of large washers, the strips are bolted together using the strip on top and the washers on the bottom to sandwich the wood together while it sits on a front and a rear cross sill. The two other cross sills which are spaced out to catch the sandwiched wood in two spots are not supported down to the frame. They appear to be used to keep the metal strips and wood on an even plane. Finally, the remaining other holes are used with just the wood sandwiched between the top runner strip and the bottom washer.
I hope that makes sense.

Thanks Joe!
I see that the cross sills do not bolt through the wood, (seems odd to me). But I can see now, how they work, I appriciate the info. The bed manufacturer gave nothing as to assembly or fastening to frame.

If i recall correctly, some of the holes in the metal strips did line up with the cross members, BUT, because the new wood was of a different width than the original wood, some of the holes in the cross members had to be redrilled. Make sure the strip are positioned correctly front vs rear.

As Joe describes, not all bed strip holes line up with a cross member and just use big washers to overlap the 2 bed boards.
