I have a question about the front pickup bumpers for the 1973-87 Chevy one-half ton pickups. Were they the same? Will any year's bumper fit any truck in this period? I have one I'm trying to sell and the hole marks are about an inch off, according to a potential customer. I think the bumper came off about an 81-83. He's not open to the possibility that the hole measurements might be off because he wrecked his truck. Can anyone clear this up? Much appreciated.

1973-1980 1/2 ton trucks share a common front bumper. The front clip on the truck changed in 1981 so the 1981-1987 bumpers won't work on the 1973-80 models.
