Hi,
Can someone tell me if all 75 holes in the garnish molding are No. 8 and are they slotted or philips head?
Are the running board mats rolled down under the trim clips? OR is there a trim molding that goes on the edge of the mat?
Thank you very much,
35 Gene

Just to clearify...the garnish moulding are the interior mouldings that go around the windows.
I assume that your are refering to stainless trim moulding that attaches to the side of the running board. This moulding is retained by a small clip that slides into the back of the moulding. The clip has a flat metal tab on the back that goes through the slot. It is twisted after being inserted into the slot. The mat sits on top of the running board and there is a gap between it and the moulding. The rubber part of the mat is vulcanized to a metal backing. This backing has a twist clip simular to the moulding clip. The clip is twisted after its inserted through the running board.
Your count of 75 holes seems a bit generous. :)

Thanks for the info on the running boards.
Yes, you are right 75 seems like quite a bit. But there are 6 moldings and some have have more than 10 holes. Maybe there were extra ones added later and not orginal to the car.

1935 Standard cars have NO trim on the running boards. The mat is molded to a steel back which has tabs that drop through the slots in the running board. The tabs are twisted to keep the mat in place. There may be some bolts from the bottom up into a center rib on the backing also. Board, Mat, thats it. No trim of any kind.

Forgot to mention, screw heads are slotted for your interior mouldings.
