Recently obtained two triangular metal panels that fit in Buisiness Coupe for 37 & 38 model year. Did all coupes have these? Some pictures of these cars, the panels are present and in others they are not. Were these metal pieces uphosteried or just painted? Does anyone have a picture that shows how these panels were attached? I once had another 38 coupe back in the 60's and as I recall it did not have these panels. It did have a "curtain" that hung from the decking behind the seat. I have seen other cars with plywood in place of this curtain. Which is correct? Any insight on these two subjects appreciated.

It's my belief that all BUISNESS coupes had the triangular metal panels, but the SPORTS (rumble seat) coupes did not. My '37 Sports coupe does not have them.

My 38 Business Coupe HAS them.
Unfortunately they are in a box with other interior parts so I'm not sure how they mount. It appears they mount to the back of the interior (somehow) and the seat moves forward/back independent of them. They basically hide the gap behind the seat back even though it's not a very big gap.
I keep hoping to find the time to photograph/video the wood section behind the seat to help others with their restorations...We've had a rotten winter so I haven't gotten out to the garage much.
