Are rebuild kits for '54 Brake Main Cylinders common and easy to come by or is having a NORS unit a better choice?

The 1953-54 M/cyl has a 7/8" bore. New fresh kits can be ordered through NAPA and most parts stores. Don't buy and old one from Ebay, get a fresh new kit .Same for the wheel cylinders.
If there is no history as to when the cylinders were last rebuilt I would recommend overhauling all and flushing the fluid.

You will be proud of yourself many years down the road it you have all 4 wheel cylinders and the master cylinder relined with SS or brass. Then install the new kits. All other recommendations should be followed such as Chev Nuts flushing the lines, etc,.

Good advice gents.

I have always said: "I don't mind so much when my car does not start when I need it; it is the not stopping when I need it that concerns me the most"!
