I'm in the process of replacing my original windshield glass and surrounding rubber and the I & I reproduction rubber is identical except it is not fabric lined as original and seems to bite into windshield metal rather than slide easily. Anyone have any suggestions on a remedy? Talcum powder? Thank, Howard Dennis

Get the windshield rubber from the Filling Station in Lebanon, Oregon. It is felt lined as it should be. A lot of I&I's reproduction parts are kinda sorta questionable. :( :( :(

Thanks for all the help guys. Since this is a hobby I'm limited on funds and didn't really want to buy a second set of windshield rubbers. I found a thin fabric tape made by Steele Rubber and was able to line my I&I rubber just like original and it works like a charm. Saved almost $30.00 to boot even after shipping and postage!
