Here's one for the history buffs. I am looking at what i am told is a 41 Chvy 1/2 ton pu.(another one) looking at parts, grill, door handles and locks, mirror mount covers, I see 41 and 42. The story is that the truck was purchased by or for an admiral in the U.S. Navy. No documentation just a story. However, the truck has fender moulding, all 4 fenders that is attached approx every 1" by a flat head screw the lenth of the moulding. I have been told this is a sure sign of a military issue pu. in my opinion no sane man would do this for fun, so maybe it is military. any ideas wher to search this out?? if interested, i can send some pics, post and e-mail. at this time i can not enter an image to this post. thanks for any help offered. big ed

I suggest you move this topic down the forum to the truck section.
