I have an 30 four door sedan. I need to determine which small handle is correct. In the parts book (1929-1932) there are two numbers. One # for International (I) and Universal (U), then another # for the Independence (Ind). Was the Handle, Windshield regulator #4200272 for the (VV type w/s) for the I, and U. and the 4002977 for the Ind. The handles I have are the same length. One appears fatter than the other. The thinner handle has a double decorative edge line around the handle with the fatter handle with just one line. They both have the word TERNSTEDT on the knob.

That is the one that I thought it was. The other handle must be for a 1931?

1932 used a "Tee" type of handle on the windshield regulator. The other handle he has is 1931.  :( :( :(
