Hi my name is Patrick.I am the new guy, and I am restoring a 37 Chevy coupe. I recently bought this car. It is a big project and it"s missing lots of stuff. Does any one have a parts car or is anyone parting out any cars?

Hi Patrick,

Welcome to the Chevy Chat Forum. I see you are from Portland and don't remember seeing you at our Chevrolet Meeting. I would like to invite you to our next meeting the first Tuesday in March. The location is the Oregon Stamp Society on NE 33 rd.

We would also encourage you to join the National VCCA. Can bring you up to speed at the next meeting.

We have some members who have 1937 cars and probably have extra parts or excellent contacts.

You can send me a private message for more details.

Again, WELCOME!

auto Hi, and welcome to VCCA chat. You might want to go to ebay autos, click on parts and accessories, and search for 1937 Chevrolet. I did this when I started working on my '38 and I put the page in my "Favorites." Now it is part of my daily ritual to check that page daily. Sooner or later almost anything you will ever need comes up for sale. Stuart

Good idea, Beamer.

Also, when you set up your Ebay search, try different variations, such as the following example:

(1938 Chev*, 38 Chev*) + (starter motor, starter, generator, windshield)

"Chev", followed by an asterisk (*) will search for all the words with C-H-E-V contained in them. Sometimes you can get a REAL deal when the Seller doesn't know how to spell or fails to spell check!

The above example will find all the listings that include any combination of words / numerals contained in the two sets of parenthesis.

You can also set up the Search function to exclude certain words.
