In the book "CHEVROLET CHRONICAL" there is picture of a 32 Phaeton showing front guards that have a seam roughly in line with the running board and no flute in the front edge. I recently received an email from a person looking for this style of front guard for restoration of a Holden Body (Australian assembled)32 Chev. Can someone tell me any information on this style of guard and where they were used - just curious,

I think you are referring to page 58, picture at bottom. They may have been used in Scandinavia, but I cannot tell for sure.

Perhaps this is what you are referring to - from a Holden bodied truck that is believed to be a '32. I had not seen guards with a seam down the middle before and assumed it was a cheaper way for Holden to make truck guards? cheers Barry
