I have an Imperial box type radio, that I am not sure what it came out of, but thought I might try to put it in my 31 truck......Is there anyone out there that would work on this thing?

Other than the fact you already have the Imperial radio, why not put a Chevrolet radio in your 31 truck? There is no correct radio for the 31, however a universal 5 tube 1940 or 1941 would suit you requirement and be a Chevrolet radio.

(PS: I can repair your radio but do not recommend it).

I am interested in the Imperial radio, why do you recommend not to repair it?

Not a correct accessory for a Chevrolet. Chevrolet radios are available and would be more authentic, however no radio would be correct for 1931. (I am in possession of a Chevrolet Service Bulletin from the Zone Manager for Zone 44, that suggests the Model 364441 with the 364493 antenna unit be installed in 1931 and 32 Chevrolet cars. Truck was neither approved nor denied)
