Does anyone have any information on the availability of a after-market down-draft intake manifold for 1930-31 engines? I have a vintage intake that may or may/not be such a part.

Thanks,

WD

I have no hard evidence but one time at the Turlock Swap Meet in California, I saw an alumium intake that had a IIRC brass downdraft carb and 90 degree air horn facing toward what would be the front of the car. It had 1930-31 Chevrolet cast on it and was made by, I think, Winfield? Wished I would have bought it. I took in a couple more rows thinking about it, went back and it was gone, maybe 15-20 minutes had gone by.

When I first got my 1930 motor it came with a W2 downdraft carb and manifold that fit the motor, I actualy started it and drove it a short distance,But I wanted the orginal for my 30 sport coupe so I switched to the updraft. I still have the downdraft carb. and manifold if anyone is interested.
