Has anyone beside me ever taken the emergency brake bands off to have them relined and when reassembling forgot how the linkage was laid out? When I referred to the repair manual nothing is shown.

Well I am in need of a picture of the linkage if anyone has one.

Hans, Is this the results of the last Arkansas tour?
My new brake shoes on the 53 got well worn in too, after taking up a couple of notches they work better than new.

Thanks Ray
That is just what I needed.
I noticed in the picture that the main pin in inserted from the outside. Mine was stuck in from the backing plate side and would not clear the strap linkage therefore the reason to take all the linkage apart. It is still that way but now all back together.

Yes Mack, found out that brass rivet heads have a very low coefficient of friction.
