Push I hope you aren't running on one of them new 1/8 mile drag strips and you have been used to an old 1/4 mile strip. do you have your drag chute mounted in the back or are you using one of the anchors off one of them shrimpers?

Brang her up here and if there is any thing left of it when you get here I'll take a look at it! Right after we get some 21" tires mounted on the 28.
See you in the funny papers.....

From 1977 Corvette parts book.
1966 with drum brakes-M/cyl is 7/8" -Would be Delco/Moraine...no casting number given.

1966 with disc and no power-1" Bendix casting # 618690

1966 with disc and power-1" Moraine no cast number.

The 7/8" cyl. would give the least pedal pressure.

I have some new 1953-1977 Corvette loose leaf parts books for sale if intrested.

Question-Did you replace the timing cover oil seal on your '35 with a modern seal? If so what number/brand?

gene when i did my 35 the timing cover had been changed to a lip seal like a previous post .they made a bushing and pushed the seal in . it was in good shape so i did not replace it . it should be not much of a problem to go to the seal shop and find it in their book . i have the books on the corvett even a build book i just could not find it the master cylinder has a 1" bore for the manual brake system . iam going to emove the master cylinder and check it . it is going to houston autorama wednesday all it has to do is go they said nothing about stopping and it cant have no more than one quarter tank of fuel but i dont have to wory about that it can be full by the time i load ,unload and drive in it will be on a quarter tank (big block) it sure likes the fuel and has a small tank

the 1970 thru 1972 corvette master cylinder, without power brakes, has the delco split-circle logo and the casting # 5455509 on the pass side of the cylinder. the power brake cylinder has the delco logo and cast # 5480346, also on the pass side of the cylinder.mike
