Filling Station is great as is; Obsolete Chevy Parts
Both Co's. know Chevy's and will have what you need 95% of the time. Or they will help you find out where to get a part.
You may also try Patrick's in Arizona. Lots of engine parts, mostly new.
All of these company's are on line. Just do a search.
Good Luck, Michael41

Pete,
One thing to keep in mind is I'm pretty sure the vendors get a certain piece (say a reproduction "widget") from the same source. So they all have essentially the same item. A lot about which one you or anybody else "likes" depends on how much the re-sellers (vendors like The Filling Station, Obsolete Chevy Parts, Patricks, Chevs of the 40's etc. etc.) know about what you're talking about; the 'advice' they can give you and so on.

Pete, for parts like what you are looking for Ebay is really the best place to find them IMO. There are a few guys on their with ebay stores and their prices can't be beat. Check it out and good luck.

I have to agree with the e-bay comment. The stuff you can find out there is just amazing - - and as a rule cheap. Lots of people cleaning out grandpa's closet and selling off all his prized auto part collection. For example, I have picked up all new gauges for my 48 in the original boxes cheap, a NOS fold down rear bumper guard, all kinds of great stuff. Even small odds and ends that I was concerned that I would never find like the little metal stampings that dress the RH and LH windshield trim at the centerline of the car. Don't forget the *wildcard in your e-bay search. I suggest 194* Chev*. Pages and pages of stuff will come up.

Excellent point by Bowtie about the asterisk. I didn't know about that 'trick' until a year or so ago. Wish I'd have known about it years ago....

Hi Neighbor, I too hope you are feeling better. :vcca: Jerry in Minnesota
I think I'm a fairly wise person because I'm smart enough to realise I'm not too bright.
