There is no way to tell how many are left. If anyone tells you there is he is blowing hot air.
Manifold; 350,400 or 454 engine?

You can check with some vendors but I don't believe they are being re-produced.

You should try to find out what interchanges with it first, then look for a good used one at places like Hemmings, Cars and Parts, etc. If that doesn't work try putting a parts wanted ad in around the net, including on here.

I would agree with running wanted ads, I have had a lot of luck with them. I would suggest placing them in the club publications rather than the web or commercial magazines. The club publications are only closed to members and the odds of running into a scam artist are not as great, seems like everyone knows each other in a club or knows someone who knows someone. FYI I the had great luck with the VCCA wanted ads.

As far as the number that are left there is or was a company called Automotive Clearing House in La Mesa California (714)447-7200 who would give the number based on current registrations in every state, but the specific engine is not part of the VIN, just eight cylinder or six cylinder, and they still might not even have that breakdown. I have one printed in 1981 and they do not breakdown any of the models or engines they just list 1969 full size Chevrolet as two door hardtops and the number given is 231,370 (but then it was only 12 year old car). No engines or models. I know a few years ago they were in business and a friend of mine was looking for numbers on his 71 Chevelle Convertible and he had contacted them the information was rather general, but very surprising as far as the results of how few were left.
Good luck
John

I looked up your '71 454 LH ex manifold in Chevrolet Buy the Numbers book and it looks like a common part.

The casting number listed is #3989343 and fits '71 or '72 402-454 fullsize, chevelle, camaro, monte carlo, gmc sprint.

I recall Classic Industries in Ca selling these I believe in repop for $350 a pair.
Only thing missing in the repop manifold would be date code/casting numbers which are stamped on inboard side anyway.Hope this helps, Jim
