Any thoughts on the new type of paper we have used for the pages? The goal is superior photo reproduction.
We are also hoping for better / faster delivery in the USA, due to a new location for shipping out the magazine. It now is mailed from Missouri instead of California.

Haven't got my November G&D yet (hopefully next week), Don, but I did read all those neat Chevy articles in the December Hemmings Classic Car. Nice job, Don!!! Couple of good plugs for the VCCA and I recognized several names associated with the great Chevy photos in the articles. That's some of the kind of recognition VCCA needs more of !!!!

Thanks for the kind words, Ken. I was real pleased with how those articles appeared, too. Many thousands of car people read that magazine, and it can only help us. The new Marketing Team we have assembled is hard at work to try and get the VCCA name out there and visible in the hobby as much as possible.

Yep, It took me another 15 minutes longer to devour the new issue of the G&D (missed the first half of Wheel of Fortune) and I had already read all the classifieds back on Nov. 1! ![[Linked Image from vccachat.org]](https://vccachat.org/forum/images/icons/default/thumbsok2.gif)

Don, My assessment of the November issue is mixed.
Being apparently mailed from Missouri it arrived sooner than recent issues mailed from Orange, CA. Sure like that!
The quality of the color photos on the covers are good. It makes the book much more impressive.
The slick paper is good making the printing very clear but too thin so that the opposite page shows in a shadowy intensity. It is something that I can get used to but does not speak well for a quality publication.
The editing and layout is the same great quality we are used to.
Overall I give it a 8.5 I never give anything a 10!

Just got ours today, looks good. Much the same as before , with the exception of some additional color and slick pages. Think we can do well with the new look.

Got mine today {Thursday 11-8} and it looks great. I like the richness the new paper adds and the color really stands out on the inside.
Can't wait for further developments & improvements.

G&D landed in Vermont today (11/8/07). No noticeable difference in delivery time....let's see what the next couple of deliveries show us....delivery from California wasn't always consistent, but I think that was the Postal Service. The content of the magazine has recently improved and continues to do so with this issue, especially with the articles by Gene and Ray.......Thanks guys for a great job. The glossy new paper does enhance the photos and print and generally improves the appearance of the magazine. The only problem I have with the slick new paper is that now I have to lick my finger tips to turn the pages. (C'mon, Ya gotta complain about somethin' dontcha??) Seriously, I think the new look is great!!!

Just learned another bit of information.
The new publisher did not put the G&D into the Post Office's hands until October 31. They thought it was to mail out on the last day of the preceeding month; but Jean always sent it to the Post Office around the 26th or 27th of the month.
So actually, we are 4 or 5 days slower for November than normal, in an apples-to-apples comparison.
This has been corrected, and beginning with the December issue the G&D will be mailed out around the 27th of November.
With Holiday mail insanity fast approaching, we will have to give this a few months to see how it's going to play out. But the expectation is that delivery dates should improve somwhat in the coming months.

Hi Don, I really like the new look G&D!
IMO,it projects a quality, updated, current, look and feel.Similar to what other national Chevy club publications are using today.
I noticed the improved picture quality right away.
Two thumbs up from here! Jim Downum NIR 70 Custom Cpe
