Hello all you good people! Yes , I am a newbie and this is my first attempt to post some questions? About two months ago I purchased this 31 Chevy, no glass and interior is shot. I have it running and before trying a short maiden voyage (like the driveway) I figured I ought to look into the brakes, was a good move. I've been able to get three of them operational and maybe the fourth (left front). The car was and/or is missing the actuator and holder that bolts to the backing plate. May not be the best description, but somebody out there probably understands what I'm trying to say. I'm also wondering what years would use the same parts? I'm also rebuilding the kingpins while I'm right there. I'm going to in this right now so I don't bore the majority and also see if this works? I just became a member of the vintage club and haven't taken the time to post a picture yet, but I will in the near future. Thank you guys and girls, from the rock (Florida Keys). Bigfoot 116

Hey Bigfoot. I also have a 31 chev 4dr and am new to the vcca.I still need to learn a ton about my car. I am 36 years old and just love this old iron. My daily driver (2002 chev pickup) takes me down the freeway at 70. My 31 takes me down the back roads comfortably at 35-40. Got to love them chevs.
