I was trying to look up gauges in some old parts books & I don't see speedometers listed anywhere. Anybody know why or where I could look up a part number? Were they in a special catalog? I would like to know if gauges for Canadian & US cars are the same or different for 1934 master. I'm getting conflicting answers. Thanks, Joe

Chevrolet did not sell service parts or complete speedometers. The parts were available thru authorized AC Distributors. As a dealer we sent them out to an athourized AC speedometer repair shop. Canadian cars tended to not use AC parts so its possible that they sorced their speedometers from a different supplier. Note the the letters AC are on the face of the 1934 US speedometeres. Would be intresting to know if the Canadian cars had the AC on the face.

Hi Joe,

I checked two clusters that I have here. One is from a Canadian car ans has all the AC markings. On the front of the speedometer and on the casings of the others. The other cluster was bought at the swap meet in Granby, Quebec, and has the markings also. I can't tell for sure it came from a Canadian car as it was removed from the car it came with. My guess is you can buy a cluster in the US and it would be correct.

Hope this helps, Pat
