Does any one know if the Generators for 1938 (and I think 1939 also) which have model number Delco Remy 1100004 where made iin Anderson, IN or Rochester, NY or both? I just got a Generator for my 38 Chevy with a Delco Remy tag on it that lists Rochester NY and the Model Number 1100004 ????? Thanks for the clarification.

Also, the generator has a number 1871693 at front plate. The generator seems to have been a different color than the traditional semi-flat black color: it seems to be a dark grey almost like the engine color without the blue in the grey blue color of the engine. I think this might be the orginal color as some black paint (presumably a second painting) scraped off with the grease. the cover band was black but may have a Cd plate under the black paint ??? Anybody ????
