I originally posted this in the 29-32 forum, but haven't received any answers...can a '34-guy help me?...
My '31 Sedan has a '34 Standard engine in it. (Don't ask - I don't know why.)
The line for the oil pressure gauge is tee'd into the line going to the rocker shaft from the oil distributor. I think this is the "low pressure" side?
When it's warmed up, the gauge barely registers.
I've verified flow at the rocker shaft - there's plenty; and I don't have any oiling problems (that I know of).
I assume the gauge should be reading the "high side" - directly from the pump. But the oil distributor doesn't have an external high-pressure port (that I can find).
Is there any way I can make my oil pressure gauge "work"?
