Doesn anyone know where one can find the litte u-shaped clips used to attach upholstery on the older trucks?

Ron, I went to a upholstery shop and the owner just gave me a bunch to do my truck. Try calling any upholstery shop...Oscar wink wink ok

I you are asking about the clips for securing the fabric to the spring then do a search for Hampton Coach. They have them listed in the online catalog with the tool. I think they are called pig rings.

Actually Chevrolet did use U shaped clips to attach the upholstery to the seat back frames on some of their early trucks but as stated upholstery shops replaced them with "hog rings"

If you are talking about the "U" shaped clips that are made out of spring metal, you can probably get those from your local upholstery shop also.

TSC (Tractor Supply Co), a farm and home store, carries three sizes of Hog Rings in our local store. I did not notice, but they may also carry a Hog Ring Pliers for closing the little buggers.

As an Arkie guy like the Antique Radio Mechanic guy probably also knows as well as this transplanted Okie knows. The original use of "hog rings" is to clip them in a rooting hog's nose to keep them from rooting the ground up.
