Hello, I am looking at this filter and wondering what is that little bolt thing sticking out of the filter. I have only seen filters with the bottom line and the side line where the hoses connect. Is that little screw where you can drain the oil in the filter and change the filter. Is this a stock item and is it good for a 235? Thanks

That is the drain plug to help remove oil from the filter when replacing the element. I am not familar with the Fram brand pictured but the GM AC brand had the plug from about 1947-54....and the it was elemunated for some strange reason.

Gene, when I chang my oil I am always waiting for the oil to drain out of the oil filter. It seem to take forever. This might be a faster way to chang my oil. Think so? Thanks...Oscar :) :)

I must be all wet; but it seems like I used to buy those PF-25's ( for my 62 Impala Coupe, 64 Olds 442, 64 Pontiac Catalina Coupe, 68 Impala Convertible, etc. ) at the local parts store or K-Mart or wherever for $5 bux. Maybe less. Seems like I shoulda bought a case and put it in the garage. HA. Who-da thunk it....

Bill.
