Hello Technology Committee members. To my knowledge, we have been an inactive group here lately. I have been appointed by VCCA
President Don Williams to chair this committee. For those of you who don't know much about me, I am:
a member of the Lake Erie Region of the VCCA in Ohio
a technical advisor for 1937-1966 tools that came in the cars
a VCCA member for a number of years now with number #28873
a Chief Judge at the VCCA Central Meet in 2006
a proud owner of my first car, a 1940 business coupe
purchased 39 years ago
a guy who just happens to have a website:
www.1940chevrolet.com
a participant in 4 or 5 "Six Cylinder Tours"
a judge at the 40th and 45th VCCA Anniversary Meets
a guy who still works for a living. So if you are getting
your Social Security check on time, you are welcome.
a guy who grew up in the "rust belt" in beautiful Canton,
Ohio. Just 2 miles down the road from the Pro-Football
Hall of Fame.

I believe that we need to do several things to get going.
1. We need to figure out who still has the desire to work
on the Technology Committee
2. We need to see what types of tasks that we can be working
on.
3. We need to verify everyone's email address. Mine
will be corrected in the G&D soon. My new email address is
40stovebolt@sbcglobal.net
4. For those who don't mind, we could benefit by knowing
home phone numbers or cell phone numbers. This is
strickly OPTIONAL.For those of
you who are on a limited number of minutes/month for
your cell phone, you might want to name your service
provider. That way, you just might be "in network" and
get free long distance. My cell phone number is:
Verizon Wireless
330-417-1931
My land line is:
330-492-7215 after 5pm EST Monday-Friday

Let's see where we go from here!

Dave,
Welcome, congrats and what were you thinking when you said yes? Just kidding! For those that do not know Dave and I have had a working relationship (within VCCA) for a bunch of years. He is a hard worker and stickler for details. Should be just what we need.

My email is fsweet1@peoplepc.com same as BB posted. Home phone is 979 233-1600. Can type using all 8 fingers and the thumbs. That is my major qualification. Secondary is I don't seem to be able to say no.

Hello everyone.
I see that we have heard from most of the committee. I will probably email the others for their response to staying on the committee.
I will be off-line from Sept. 9th thru the 14th as I will be on the Early 6 Cylinder Tour in Lower Michigan with my 1940 Chevrolet coupe. I know that Gene Schneider will be on the 6 cylinder tour also. Anyone else coming along?

Well, I can't make that one, however the following week I will be at the Early 6 (1929-36) Tour in Yellowstone. That will complete the 2007 tours for me. Have already made 5 and this will make 6. Everyone of them a "kick in the pants". Already putting up the 2008 calendar and marking the projected tours for next year. Will have all winter to service the cars and be ready to "hit the road".
