Solan,
My information shows both a Chasseur Red and a Light Fast Maroon for 1927.
I don't have a match for either color.

I do have a match for a 1928 color Romany Red, but I will have to look for the matching color to describe it to you.

Perhaps "Antique Mechanic" can shine some light on this area?

Dan.

According to my paint chart, a red or variation, was not offered for 1927 for the Touring.

The correct pattern for the paint is body = body color, fenders, splash aprons, ect are black.

If you are making a paint choice based on a color used on any model for the year, then all bets are off. I have never subscribed to that interpretation. That is basically a license to paint any color or scheme.

Thanks Ray, I should have looked at the combinations for models. If I had I would have seen that break down of where they were used and for what model, (in this case the Imperial Landau for the first two colors mentioned). The Romany Red I mentioned for 28 was used on Convertible Sport Cabriolet according to my sheets. "My Bad" as the kids say.

Hi K1dan,

Not a problem. I think VCCA did a "boo boo" when the decision was made to allow any color if available that year. I still think and act as if the mistake was not made.

Cheers!
