Am looking for a schematic or manual on the 39 wiper motor. I have one which seems to be in good shape but does not complete the cycle. It would eliminate allot of guessing if one could get that sort of info..
Thanks,
Ron V.

Sounds like your wiper motor needs cleaning on the inside and fresh lubrication.......or possibly even a rebuild.

wink :)

I pulled it apart, cleaned it.....looks normal, lubed with bees wax. Will do it again this time cleaning all passages thoroughly, thinking that a passage must be blocked. It could be the "shutoff" seal not seating properly at the end of the half cycle. It still would be nice to have a schematic.
Thanks JYD

I have never seen a wiper motor repair manual, etc. ....major parts were not available. The paddle should be lubricated with grease , not wax. The wax may be part of your problem.

Don't know of a repair manual. Those of us that repair or rebuild them learned by trial and error. Need special water resistant grease and parts that are not warped, broken or worn out. Some rebuild kits are occasionally available as are some gaskets but not generally found. Also best to have the special tools and guages that are really difficult to find. If a little lube, brake fluid, oil or grease will not get it working then sending to a specialist is best option.

How much for one of your NOS 39 Chev wiper motors? Where are you located? I am in Silverdale WA.
Thanks,
Ron
