I have a 1921 Chevrolet '490' Touring car and I have been trying to find parts for it and I have been unable to find things like speedometers and exact parts for the car. And when I do, people want to much! So, I would appreciate any help!

Keep in mind that some parts are difficult to find in operational or rebuildable condition. Others are just not plentiful. So the prices might seem high but may not actually be. I am sure some of the experts here can advise on the prices offered. Also a person can spend years and many $$$ searching only to pay the price later. I and others have spent several hundred $$$ going to a swap meet only to purchase a $5 part. I don't want to think what the total price of that part was!

Chippy Dippy is correct......and also keep in mind that the old car hobby is a very expensive hobby to get involved in as you probably already know since it sounds like you have several cool collector cars. The really old parts from the teens and twenties, for example, are hard to find and good useable or restorable parts for that period are usually not cheap. Heck, in the Chevy hobby, many of the parts are not cheap regardless of the year.

wink :)

How true! I was just wondering if you knew anyone who had the parts for a good deal! And yes all the cars in my signature are mine. My '41 Dodge is the only other car that I have quite a time trying to find the exact parts for.

Bear in mind that there are items identical, also used by F**D and HD. I should imagine even within GM.

EBay is a great help to many people, both sellers and buyers, but also a very price-driving business. The tail lights to 26-30 are near to $ 150,- by now, even in poor quality.
