have a chance to buy a '71 350 for $250 with 3k on recent rebuild that has been sitting for 3mos. in a shed. only problem is owner says a chip or crack at one of the motor mount hole bosses. Until I see a picture I can't tell how bad. Anyone ever run into this and if so can it be fixed if it is in fact a crack? And if just a chip should I be concerned. Realize at $250 it would still be a good deal to get the other parts of the motor and get a good block. Any thoughts would be MUCH appreciated.

Its difficult to say without seeing it but the mount could be installed with three bolts instead of four with no problem.
