Found out my Chevy 1.5 ton, 1942 military radiator needs a recore. 620 bucks qoute from local shop!!
no thanks. My pockets arent that deep.

Has anyone else ever found a cross reference part number (maybe loacl, like NAPA or other) to fit into their 41-46 BIG chevy trucks? maybe for anotehr application that works fine?

The military parts manual says this radiator is a
Harrison #R-15A-41, Fin and Tube, 403.75 sq inches, 3 3/8" thick.

I am running a later engine of 1958-60 casting, and have the original raditor that came with said replacment engine.(not near me, have to go look)

However , the 58 radiator has different mounting brackets. that I do know.. Been considering having the original mounting brackets from my origianl radiator soldered to the case of this 58 radiator. Not sure yet. Exploring thais as well as other avenues.

Anyone out there that can help me locate a replacement?

I am trying to get thru to Jim Carter CChevy for a check to see if their MER-810 raditor will work or not for my aplication

Daveyboy, I have A NOS 41-46 big truck radiator in Arlington if interested. I bought it for a spare for my half ton several years ago.
